Tired of working Fridays? Quick Staff UK is currently recruiting for an SMT Operator to join a well-established electronics manufacturer based in Cwmbran. Our forward-thinking client’s working week runs from Monday to Thursday, giving its staff the benefits of having every Friday off work. This is a hands-on production role working in a clean, modern environment with industry-leading equipment and processes. This role will become permanent after 13 weeks on assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating an SMT Machine
- Soldering of circuit boards
- Perform first-off and in-process inspection of components and assemblies
- Read and follow drawings and work instructions
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Ensure quality and efficiency targets are met
- Work as part of a team to support production schedules
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience of operating an SMT Machine
- Previous experience working in electronics manufacturing
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work to production targets and quality standards
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday
Week One: 5.30am – 3.00pm
Week Two: 2.30pm – 12.00am
Pay Rate:
£12.34p/hr + Shift Allowance = £15.11p/hr
