Job Description

Quick Staff UK, a leading independent recruitment business based in south Wales, is pleased to be the recruitment partner of choice of a fast-growing, industry-leading manufacturing business based in the Caerphilly area. On their behalf, we are seeking to appoint a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our client’s dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control of products and raw materials, including microbiological testing
  • Preparation of microbiological and media diluents
  • Stock control
  • Ordering laboratory consumables
  • Calibration checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Waste Disposal
  • Maintenance of the QC laboratory in a clean and tidy state
  • Booking of documents and parts on to Sage.
  • Digital archiving
  • Maintenance of the digital database
  • General Administration & Lab based tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to A-level standard at least
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in pressurised situations.
  • Proven experience in Quality Control and a lab environment within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data entry software, specifically Sage .
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment but also independently when necessary.

Hours of work:
8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday
(Alternate Friday’s 6.00am – 2.30pm)
