Quick Staff UK is recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected manufacturer. Supplying major retailers across the UK and internationally, our client is seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer to join their procurement team.Working closely with the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and products are available when needed, supporting production schedules and helping deliver excellent service to customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Support purchasing and procurement activities to ensure the timely supply of products and materials
- Assist with forecasting and stock level planning
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and understand their production capabilities
- Coordinate shipping schedules and maximise container utilisation
- Support new product launches and manage reprint requirements
- Maintain accurate purchasing and stock records across internal systems
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure production deadlines are achieved
- Produce and analyse reports using Excel
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the supply chain
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain
- Experience of forecasting, stock control or inventory planning
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A confident communicator who enjoys building supplier relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
