An established and growing manufacturing business in Caerphilly is looking for a proactive and hands-on Production Co-Ordinator to oversee and streamline production processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is willing to support production lines as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
- Supervise and manage a team of operatives across multiple production lines.
- Take a hands-on approach, stepping in to assist on the production line when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of quality control, ensuring all products meet required specifications.
- Plan and manage shift allocations to maximise efficiency and meet production targets.
- Drive productivity and efficiency improvements while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Work closely with other departments, including warehouse, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor production budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production supervisory or co-ordinator role within a manufacturing environment.
- A proactive and hands-on attitude, with a willingness to assist on the production line when required.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Experience in quality control and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage shift allocations effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of production budgets, efficiencies, and cost control.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
