Quick Staff UK is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Blackwood area for a small number of Night Shift Operatives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team preparing components to an exceptionally high standard before they are painted and supplied to world-class customers. If you’re reliable, hardworking, enjoy physical work, and take pride in producing quality work, we’d love to hear from you. This assignment will be reviewed every 6 months, and it has the potential to be extended.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal components ready for painting
- Sand, fill and finish parts to a high standard
- Carry out quality checks throughout the preparation process
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production targets
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with an excellent work ethic
- Comfortable carrying out physical work
- Previous experience using body filler and orbital sanders would be an advantage, but full training will be provided, so experience is not essential.
Hours of Work
Night Shift
- Sunday to Wednesday: 10:00pm – 6:00am
- Thursday: 10:00pm – 4:00am
Pay & Benefits
- £15.38 per hour (incl. shift allowance)
- Overtime available:
- Monday to Friday: £17.34 per hour
- Saturday: £19.50 per hour (6:00am – 11:00am)
- Sunday: £22.76 per hour (6:00am – 11:00am)
- Pay rates increase following a successful 6-month probationary period
