We’re hiring a dependable and safety-focused Machine Operator to join a growing recycling and cleaning team. If you’re hands-on, proactive, and keen to learn, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in a manufacturing environment with ongoing pay progression as you develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU) efficiently and safely
- Manage waste removal and recycling from shop floor areas
- Support general cleaning and housekeeping duties across site
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and wear provided PPE
- Operate machinery and tools safely and responsibly
- Follow procedures, instructions, and quality standards at all times
- Undertake other tasks as required by supervisors or managers
Key Requirements
- Previous experience operating machinery in a production or recycling environment preferred
- Forklift licence is desirable, but full in-house training will be provided
- Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
- Able to follow structured instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Hours & Pay
- Starting rate: £12.24 per hour
- Annual earnings: Up to £34,051.68 (based on full attendance, overtime, and shift allowance)
- Increases: Pay rises available after successful probation and full training
- Standard working hours (45 hrs/week):
▪️ Days: Mon–Thurs 07:00–17:15, Fri 07:00–14:30
▪️ Nights: Mon–Thurs 18:00–06:00 - Breaks: 45 minutes unpaid Mon–Thurs, 30 minutes unpaid on Friday
