Looking to gain valuable laboratory experience with a well-established food manufacturer?
Quick Staff UK is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Assistant to join one of our established food manufacturing clients in Haverfordwest on a temporary assignment expected to last 6–8 weeks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous laboratory experience, including students (aged 18+) who are looking to apply the knowledge gained during their studies in a real working laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing raw materials used within food production
- Carrying out product quality testing
- Recording and reporting test results accurately
- Preparing samples for analysis
- Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and following strict hygiene procedures
- Following laboratory procedures and food safety standards
- Supporting the wider Quality team as required.
Full training will be provided on the company’s systems and testing procedures.
Working Hours:
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern covering:
- Week One: 6.00am – 1.20pm
- Week Two: 8.00am – 4.30pm
- Week Three: 11.30am – 8.00pm
Flexibility to work all three shifts is essential.
Key Requirements:
- Have previous laboratory experience (essential)
- Have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
- Can follow procedures accurately and record results clearly
- Are reliable, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Have an interest in science, food technology or laboratory-based work
- Are aged 18 or over.
This opportunity would particularly suit a university student or graduate looking to gain valuable industry experience within a professional laboratory environment.
