Quick Staff UK is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in the Caerphilly area.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Hire Desk Controller to become a key part of the operations team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining customer service, administration, planning and logistics to ensure customers receive an outstanding service from enquiry through to collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing incoming customer enquiries by phone and email
- Preparing quotations, processing hire orders and off-hires
- Coordinating deliveries, collections and exchanges with transport teams
- Keeping customers updated on availability and delivery schedules
- Maintaining accurate hire records and documentation
- Supporting the invoicing process through accurate administration
- Monitoring fleet availability and helping maximise utilisation
- Resolving customer queries quickly and professionally
- Working closely with colleagues across operations and transport to ensure a seamless service
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements at all times
Key requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service, hire desk or administration role
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems
- High attention to detail and accurate administration skills
- A positive, proactive and professional attitude
- Full UK driving licence
