Quick Staff UK is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer – Team Leader for a leading manufacturing site in the Haverfordwest area. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an electrically biased engineer with strong supervisory skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team of engineers, assisting with day-to-day task planning and problem-solving.
- Prioritise and carry out planned electrical maintenance and respond swiftly to breakdowns.
- Minimise plant downtime through effective fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Work with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control systems in a fast-paced production environment.
- Maintain electrical safety compliance and support site-wide health & safety initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with production teams to minimise disruption and maximise uptime.
- Use CMMS systems to manage, record and report maintenance activity.
- Support the review and development of RAMS, SOPs, and improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong electrical engineering background (maintenance and fault finding)
- Experience with PLC systems, controls and automation (SCADA knowledge beneficial)
- Supervisory or team lead experience in an engineering environment
- Knowledge of relevant H&S practices, including electrical safety and COSHH
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering)
Desirable:
- FMCG or manufacturing sector experience
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Forklift or pallet truck licence
Hours of work:
12hr shifts – 4 on/4 off
5am to 5pm / 12pm to 12am
