Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a world-class, quality-focused precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena, Co. Antrim. The company is customer-focused, ensuring the continued evolution of their extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland. We are currently recruiting for a concrete finisher/patcher to join our client’s finishing team. This role will report to and support the Concrete Finishing Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to smooth and finish precast concrete products, apply surface treatments, and correct any imperfections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill blowholes and smooth external edges to specified finish grades.
- Ensure desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Repair or replace damaged sections of precast concrete structures, involving replacement of reinforcing tools.
- Clean and smooth chipped edges and stone rub to remove excess concrete.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.
- Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Experience within a manufacturing or construction industry.
- Understanding of health & safety at work.
- Flexibility in working hours and strong adaptability skills.
- Good communication and teamwork experience.
- Willing to clean and maintain the working area.
- An understanding of both written and spoken English.
- Desirable: Previous experience working in precast concrete production.
- Desirable: Previous work experience in civil engineering related projects.
- Desirable: The ability to read technical/constructions drawings.
- Desirable: Experience with hand/air and power tools.
- Desirable: Counterbalance forklift licence or overhead crane licence.
- Desirable: CSR / First Aid/Fire Warden Training
Hours of work:
Hours will be variable between 32 – 48 hours per week as needed.
Monday – Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm however flexibility to start at 06:00am or 07:00am, work overtime and/or Saturdays as necessary is essential.

This role has the opportunity to become a permanent role with our client after 13-weeks on assignment.
