Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an established, independent garage based in the Blackwood area of south Wales. We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s team. The Vehicle Technician will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed
- Perform equipment repairs and maintenance tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting when required during vehicle maintenance
- Interpret and follow schematics to troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Utilise power tools for repair and maintenance work
- Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix vehicle problems
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
- Use hand tools effectively for various repair task
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or a similar field is essential
- Experience of changing tyres, servicing, suspension, brakes, diagnostics, timing belts, clutches etc.
- Must have a valid UK driving license
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting during maintenance tasks
- Strong mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair vehicle issues
- Excellent customer service skills when dealing with clients
- Familiarity with interpreting schematics for troubleshooting purposes
Hours of work:
8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity after 13 weeks on assignment.
